TimeWeSp Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. We apply a few fundamental principles for all apps and websites we offer from TimeWeSp:

Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals. The structure and much of the contents of this privacy policy are copied from Automattic Inc.'s privacy policy Dec 21st 2016. They gracefully make that policy language available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license. They're the makers of several Internet services, including wordpress.com.

TimeWeSp, from now referred to as "the author", on 1/1/2023 operates one website under this Privacy Policy: the Oncall Scheduler. But more apps and websites may be added as covered by this policy, without the policy being updated to list them all. If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact kristian@timewesp.com.

The detailed descriptions below describe the Privacy Policy the author will adhere to if relevant functionality is added to the app or websites covered by this policy in the future. Several of these scenarios are irrelevant today 1/2/2023 since the one website so far covered by this privacy policy doesn't offer functionality relevant for these scenarios.

App Users

Like most app and website producers, the author might collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that mobile devices, web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the device type, Operating System version, browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The author's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how the author's visitors use its website and apps. From time to time, the author may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website and apps.

The author also might collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users. The author only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to the author's websites and apps choose to interact with these in ways that require the author to gather personally-identifying information to offer the solution requested by the visitor. The amount and type of information that the author gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we might ask visitors who create an account to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with the author (by purchasing some app or website service, for example) are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, the author collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with the author. The author does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain app- and website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

The author may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. The author may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, the author does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

The author discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on the author's behalf or to provide services available at the author's websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the author's websites and apps, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. The author will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, the author discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when the author believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of the author, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of one of the authors apps or websites and have supplied your email address, the author may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with the author and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. The author takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the author's websites, with the drawback that certain features of the author's websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Business Transfers

If the app and website assets covered by this policy, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that the author goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of these assets may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by the author and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, the author may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in the author's sole discretion. The author encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. The apps and websites covered by this policy may also surface information about Privacy Policy changes. Your continued use of these apps and sites after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
